WThis is a home-style version of a drink found on our latest cocktail list. Designed as a batch premix that's bursting with the essence of a Christmas time, rendering it excellent for hosting a festive gathering. Any leftover cordial for brunch beverages, desserts, or to mix additional servings of this cocktail.
Bikini Recipe
Makes enough for 10 guests
For the Citrus Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g fine sugar
To make the Premix (makes 850ml, serving 10)
400ml good quality vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine syrup (see above)
Fresh cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing
Directions
Making the Cordial: Combine the listed ingredients inside a pan, heat until it reaches a simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Then, turn off the heat allowing it to cool down entirely. Pour into an sterilised bottle, cap it and refrigerate it chilled, it can be stored for about one month.
Preparing the Cocktail Base: Combine every liquids in a large bottle, let it rest for an hour, then strain best through a fine cloth, making it perfectly clear.
For serving: Pour 85ml from the batch mix into a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and stir lightly for about 60 seconds until cold. Pour into a chilled martini glass or a similar vessel, top with the cranberries adding the final touch by giving it a brief mist of mandarin oil over the drink.
